The redesigned YOS and COS offer BBBS agencies something they have never had before – a say in exactly what question sets are asked to their agency’s Littles. While all BBBS agencies will be required to administer a core set of YOS and COS questions to their Littles, agencies will be able choose whether or not they administer seven optional question sets for the YOS and three optional question sets for the COS (click here to learn more about all of the changes to the YOS and COS and view the new surveys, including the optional question sets).

When the new YOS and COS surveys go-live in Matchforce on August 31, 2020, all of optional question sets will be turned off. If an agency wants any of the optional question sets to be included in the surveys Matchforce automatically generates, an agency staff member with the user profile of Agency Admin must go into the Agency Account record in Matchforce and “turn on” the appropriate optional constructs.

Agencies can activate YOS and COS optional question sets by taking the following steps in Matchforce:

• Open your agency’s Agency Account record
• Scroll down to the section on the account record labeled Optional YOS Constructs
• Check the appropriate boxes for the optional survey question sets that your agency wants to include on the YOS and COS
  • Only optional question sets that are checked will appear on the surveys created by Matchforce
  • For the three optional question sets that appear on both the YOS and the COS, checking the box to “turn on” these question sets will cause the question sets to be included on both the YOS and the COS

Agencies can begin turning on the optional YOS and COS questions sets on Tuesday, August 25, 2020. The selections agencies make regarding optional question sets will take effect when the revised versions of the YOS and COS go-live on August 31, 2020.

After the revised surveys go-live in Matchforce, agencies can turn on or off optional question sets whenever they like. However, changes may take up to 24-hours to appear in the system, and any surveys created before the changes but not yet administered will not reflect the changes.
